#CIVILIZATION 5 MAC REQUIREMENTS PASSWORD#
I followed all of the troubleshooting, and to the best of my knowledge I presume the issue is with STEAM, the same program that couldn't get my user id, and password right, UGH! It really stinks!. I'm forced to FORCE QUIT STEAM!! Everything is above the requirements. and this loading prompt stays up indefinitely. Now it says Launching Sid Meier's Civilization V. I go to forgot password again, and this time I click on the enter product KEY option. Steam's home/log in screen offers me to create a new User ID and I just re-create my old one, and it doesn't let me because my user id is already taken (Go figure). Now I click on the Civilization V application icon, and AGAIN Nothing happens.
#CIVILIZATION 5 MAC REQUIREMENTS UPDATE#
When it came on I completed the update of Steam. I went back to Steam, I updated the software, and it said it couldn't proceed because my IPCserver was in use. I went to applications and clicked on Civilization V, and nothing happened. I wait, and I wait.and it's been 10 minutes.still no email in my inbox or my spam folder. I click on forgot password, it makes me enter my email address and says it will send me an email. I clicked forgot log in information just so I could speed up the process because I have better stuff to do then dispute my user id, and password that my computer's memory even saved in its autofill with this shameful application. The steam application refused to acknowledge my one and only user id, and also it refused to acknowledge my email. So as this installation prompt was on the desktop (Without any other programs running) I opened the steam application. This couldn't be right, because I had installed the game a year ago, and never uninstalled it. I inserted the disc, and all of a sudden the "Installation prompt window" appeared. Today (As the weather fell to 30*) I took out Civilization V to play. I stopped playing the game once Spring time came around, I immediately put the game in its box and stored it safely. I got the game to work, and It was great. Once installed I completed the Steam application which was frustrating, because never before had I ever had to play ANY Sid Meier's Game (From Railroad Tycoon, Civ 1-4) based on the core of an independent Steam online application. It took a significant amount of time to install. I bought Sid Meiers's Civilization V in October 2010 for my brand new Macbook pro.
